Empty Nest Eggs: Reader Response

Matthew Kirk says: At 41, I am confident that I will not see my full pension – not in the sense that we currently understand it (i.e. enough to make ends meet). The harm possibly being done to future generations’ wealth has not proved enough of a deterrent to overspending today and it is hard to see this changing – why would a generation be altruistic and irrational enough to take less for themselves for the benefit of future pensioners?
