JOE MACIARIELLO NAMED MARIE RANKIN CLARKE CHAIR

Joe Maciariello, the Drucker Institute’s academic and research director, was named the Marie Rankin Clarke Professor of Social Science and Management at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management.

The chair was awarded in recognition of Maciariello’s “excellence in leadership, research and teaching.”

Most significant, the last professor to hold the Marie Rankin Clarke chair was Peter Drucker himself. The chair has been vacant since Drucker died in 2005.

In addition to overseeing research at the Drucker Institute, Maciariello also teaches some classes at the Drucker School.

In addition to Maciariello’s appointment, Professor Vijay Sathe was named the new C.S. & D.J. Davidson Chair of Management, and Academic Dean Hideki Yamawaki was named the Ito Chair of International Business.
